Construction Logistics

Phoenix has developed an industry-leading model combining logistics, warehousing, distribution, project management, and customer service. This enables Phoenix to manage the entire indirect infrastructure of our customers construction projects in order to deliver them to our customers at a savings. 

Phoenix handles the logistics for all of the fixtures, equipment, and construction items for each project. This includes assisting our customers in the planning phase and coordinating shipments from hundreds of suppliers, both domestic and international.  Phoenix ships the fixtures, equipment, and construction items into a warehouse or ‘staging point’, which is regionally located, based on our customers’ growth patterns.  Once the equipment arrives at Phoenix’s ‘staging point’, Phoenix maintains inventory of the equipment, then has project management/customer service personnel on our customers’ job sites to assist in managing the project, scheduling delivery of the equipment, etc.  This process of consolidation allows for multi-faceted savings for our customers:

  •     5-10% Freight Savings on over-all freight cost for each store.

  •     No lost or damaged items.

  •     Just-In-Time (JIT) item delivery allows for labor savings on the job-site.  No item is delivered until it is scheduled on  the job-site and ready to install.

  •     Reduction in overall construction project timeline (early openings for retailers, etc).

  •     Elimination of customers’ current internal consolidation warehouse (if applicable).

  •     Elimination of  expedited freight cost.

  •     Free project management services.

  •     Free  coordination with all suppliers.

  •     Processing of all freight claims – damaged items will be returned the vendor and replaced by Phoenix.

Phoenix saves the retailer 5-10% on their overall freight cost for each project (through freight consolidation), then Phoenix provides all of the other services to the retailer at no cost.  So overall, our customers gain multiple efficiencies and process improvements on their job sites – and most importantly, they save money doing it!!

F.A.Q's.

How is Phoenix able to provide all of these services AND save our customers money?

Phoenix utilizes an industry-leading combination of systems, existing supply routes (both international and domestic), world-class employees, and existing infrastructure to provide these services to our customers at no cost.

This sounds like a very complex model.  How difficult is it to implement?

Very easy.  Phoenix handles all of the leg-work.  All we ask is for our customers to specify on their purchase orders that Phoenix will be the logistics-provider for that particular project.  Phoenix handles all of the vendor coordination, etc.

What if my company has a construction project in a remote area?  Can Phoenix handle these projects?

 With Phoenix’s current infrastructure, we can implement new projects immediately in most parts of the United States and Mexico.  Phoenix can also implement new projects quickly in new regions.
